Types of FFL Transfers
An FFL transfer involves the legal exchange of firearms between two Federal Firearms License (FFL) holders, which includes background checks and adherence to state and federal regulations. This procedure is crucial to ensuring the lawful possession and sale of firearms, helping to maintain public safety by preventing illegal firearm transactions and ownership.
Transfer & Pickup
You will need: non-expired State issued Pennsylvania Photo ID with current address (or gov-issued change address card). $65 for first (Midway is $50); 45 for each additional. Items ordered online via our website or in-store are $50; Items held for more than 30 days incur a $30 charge. Missed appointments/denials within 24 hours are not refunded. Licensed first responders can receive a $15 discount at the register for all services. NFA fees are FREE is you purchase via Shot Tec, LLC, Otherwise, our NFA transfers are $65 for transfers and $35 for fingerprints which we conduct via our Cerberus EFT machine.
Person to Person Transfer
Select if selling a firearm to someone local. $65 Covers appointment & background check to legally transfer a gun. $45 for each additional gun. If large amount or for estate planning, call in advance. No refunds, even for no-shows, ineligibility decline, or denial. If a denial occurs during a P2P transfer, a transfer and $65 will need to occur before returning to the original owner per ATF guidelines.
